ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY
The South African Valuer is the mouthpiece of members of the SAIV.
In this centenary year of the SAIV The South African Valuer should feature as many of the Institute’s members as possible.
Ensure that you or your practice is included the July and October issues by taking an advertisement or a listing in the Professional Directory.
Affordable rates are available. These have not been increased in the past four years.

Please contact Tony Korsten for advertising: tony@pangram.co.za ; 011 640 1684 or 083 410 0144 .
Editorial contributions are welcome. Interesting anecdotes about the Institute and the profession would be appreciated and should be sent to the editor, Patricia Leitich: patricia@pangram.co.za ; 011 442 2260.

The South African Institute of Valuers, founded in 1909, is the national society of professional real estate valuers. The Institute is dedicated to serving the public interest by advancing high standards for members of the appraisal profession.

Today it has some 1550 members representing at least 60% of registered valuers in South Africa.

As the representative body of the valuation profession in Southern Africa, the Institute is in the business of promoting excellence by:

  • Setting and maintaining high standards of professional proficiency, ethics and education
  • Striving to provide the appropriate educational programmes, sources of data and information
  • Marketing and creating awareness of the benefits of the professional services of its members to existing and potential clients
  • Monitoring and making representations on relevant legislation in the best interests of its members and their clients.
