Accredited educational institutions and prescribed or recognised examinations:

SECTION 20(2)(a)(ii) OF THE PROPERTY VALUERS PROFESSION ACT, 2000 (ACT NO. 47 OF 2000)

The following institutions have been accredited to offer examinations recognised by the Council:

  1. University of Cape Town (Department of Construction Economics & Management)
    • B Sc and B Sc (Hons) Property Studies (4 year degree)
      Full Accreditation,
    • M Sc Property Studies and Post Graduate Diploma Property Studies
      Conditional Accreditation

  2. University of the Witwatersrand (Wits University)
    B Sc Property Studies (4 year degree)
    Conditional Accreditation

  3. University of Free State
    Master of Land and Property Development Management M.L.P.M. (M Prop): Property Valuation
    Full Accreditation

  4. University of Pretoria (Department of Construction Economics)
    M Sc: Real Estate
    Full Accreditation

  5. University of Johannesburg
    National Diploma Real Estate (Property Valuation)
    Full Accreditation

  6. Cape Peninsula University of Technology
    5 subjects required for registration as a Candidate Single Residential Property Assessor:
    • Property Valuation 1, Property Economics and Finance 1, Property Practice 1, Law of Property Valuation and Principles of Property Law
      Full Accreditation

  7. University of South Africa (UNISA)
    National Diploma Real Estate (Property Valuation)
    Conditional Accreditation
